As a guideline, in the United States of America, ruling governing tournaments with entry fee and/or prizes are set up by each individual state, not by the federal government. Based on these 50 sets of laws, players cannot participate in fee-based tournaments with prizes if they reside in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, and Vermont and/or any other jurisdiction of which participation in the games and tournaments offerered on this Site is restricted by law. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. The site reserves the right to monitor the location from which you access the site and to block access from any jurisdiction in which participation is not allowed or restricted. Taxes: You are solely responsible for paying all federal and other taxes in accordance with the laws that apply in your state, province and/or country of residence and complying with any with- holding tax obligations imposed by applicable law in connection with your activity on the Site. If your total winnings on the Site in any given year reach $600, we will request you to submit your social security number in order to send you a Form 1099, as required by U.S. Internal Revenue Service regulations. Full Assumption of Risk of Loss and Indemnification: Players who voluntarily choose to enter fee-based tournaments do so at their own discretion and risk. As in any money-based game, there is the risk of loss of money. Player fully understands that he/she may elect to play non-cash–prize games for free that are also available on this Site. You agree to hold TriviaGuy.com, its employees, officers, directors, programmers, licensees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, or other agencies, and agents completely harmless and fully indemnify them from any and all costs, expenses, liabilities, and all damages whatsoever that may arise as a result of player’s (1) entry or use of the website, (2) use of any materials at the website, (3) entry or participation in fee-based tournaments, (4) acceptance of any prizes. NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY PRIZES : TriviaGuy.com, its employees, officers, directors, programmers, licensees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, or other agencies, and agents. Odds / Prizes / Payouts : As the outcome of the tournaments offered on the Site are directly related to the number of; and/or the knowledge, educational, and recall levels of the participants; we cannot access an individual's odds of winning. In cash prize tournaments, the amount of the cash prize will be disclosed at, and updated during the tournament(s) due to various player log-in(s) and play(s) up until tournament(s) cutoff, or window-to-play deadline(s). If a player(s) logs-in to participate after a deadline, he/she will be placed in next available tournament of category selected. In the case of any progressive tournament with a cash prize, the cash prize will be conditional on and subject to the number of participants in the tournament; the exact amount of the cash prize will not be available until the tournament closes. Payouts : Cash prizes (site credits) are deposited directly into the winners' user account at TriviaGuy.com and should become available as quickly as possible after tournament's conclusion and/or within the next business day. On cash withdrawals from player funds (real money payout) to be put into player's Paypal account-- Players need to request it via email, upon which their request (minus withdrawal fee, please see Withdrawals on Rules of Play page) will be processed after receiving within the next 1 - 3 business days. Except where otherwise noted, in all tournaments with actual cash entry fees, we retain a portion of the aggregate total as a management fee, but the Jackpot amount shown on scoreboards is the exact amount paid out to winning players. We may choose to waive any management fees in respect of any guest competitions without cash entry fees paid out-of-pocket by the participants. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE (Though reasonable measures are fully structured and in place). Compliance : We comply with the Safe Harbour privacy principles.
